Its gears are strong enough to hold your telescope with no counterweight, so a 5 kg head carries a 15 kg rig and setup is drop-it-on-the-tripod-and-go instead of a balancing ritual. It is still a full GoTo mount, and paired with a ZWO ASIAIR it plate-solves, reading the star field to center your target dead-on. The net is most of the capability of a big observatory mount in something you carry in one hand to a dark site.
