Targets

The Andromeda Galaxy is the Milky Way's nearest large galactic neighbor, visible to the naked eye from dark skies. At over 2 million light-years away, it is the most distant object easily seen without a telescope and contains an estimated trillion stars.

The Triangulum Galaxy is the third-largest member of the Local Group. Its low surface brightness demands dark skies and wide-field views, but under the right conditions it reveals spiral arms peppered with bright star-forming knots.

The Whirlpool Galaxy is a grand-design spiral galaxy interacting with its companion NGC 5195. The gravitational dance between the two galaxies has triggered waves of star formation, making the Whirlpool one of the most-photographed galaxies in the sky.
