Our own galaxy seen edge-on from inside it. Invisible from suburbs, structurally detailed under a truly dark sky — dust lanes, the Great Rift, and a core bright enough to cast a faint shadow at Bortle 2 and below. A naked-eye and binocular object, not a telescope one.

Jupiter rewards observers of all experience levels. Its equatorial cloud bands, the Great Red Spot, and the ever-changing positions of the four Galilean moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto) make every night a new scene.

Saturn is the solar system's showstopper. Its iconic ring system — tilted up to 27° from our line of sight — is visible through even a 60mm refractor. Look for the Cassini Division, cloud bands, and up to eight moons in a moderate telescope.
