Good fit· Celestron X-Cel LX 7mm on the Celestron NexStar 8SE
Why this eyepiece?
- ✓Brings out more structure in the cluster's outer stars
Tradeoffs
- –Too tight to frame the whole cluster
- –Dims at this power, making faint detail harder to see
Try a longer focal length eyepiece for a wider field
The showpiece globular cluster. Small scopes show a fuzzy ball; large apertures resolve thousands of stars.
